Donna Troop’s backyard boasts a flourishing garden and view of the Gatineau River, but this summer Troop has only enjoyed that view from inside her home. She won’t even go out to fetch the newspaper, but sends her partner David Maitland instead.
Troop has Lyme disease.
She’s positive she contracted it from a tick in her own backyard last May.
