Schools in La Peche, Chelsea and Wakefield, Quebec are in line for a piece of a $1.9-million provincial grant for repairs.

The building maintenance funding will be split among four schools to be used this year.

Wakefield elementary school will receive $265,326 for washroom work, Chelsea elementary gets $219,130 to fix wash basins and Saint-Cecile school in Masham will receive $100,000 to replace its waste water treatment system.

The remaining funds will go to L’Erabliere high school in Gatineau for pool and intercom system repairs.

Gatineau MNA Stephanie Vallee announced the provincial grant Feb. 2, part of Quebec’s $239.8-million funding commitment to school boards this year.
