To all the dog owners along the Gatineau river, and particularly those in the covered bridge zone and towards the Wakefield bay:
There has been a significant increase in dogs barking in this area. There is steady barking that at times goes on for hours on end (often from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on weekends, and then again in the late afternoon).
My husband assures me that I look great when accessorized with florescent orange earplugs, but having to wear them while barbequing, bathing, and gardening is wearing thin and cramping my style.
In all seriousness, the barking in the past couple months has gotten out of control, and it’s coming from both sides of the river.
If those dog owners would please stop their dogs from barking, it would be much appreciated. To those people who already do control their animals, I say thank you kindly.
Cheers to peaceful country living.
