Gift of the ‘Gab’

At a very young age, Gab Desmond realized his greatest asset was his ability to chat and he has been using his gift ever since.

After a brief stint on Broadway, travelling the world twice over, and being an active member in the Free the Children charity, the 38-year-old has finally found a place that allows him to combine his love for the arts and his passion for sustainability.

Desmond hasn’t wasted any time trying to make a name for himself in Chelsea, his newfound community. He has taken up part-time teaching gigs at L’Artishow, a musical theatre school in Gatineau, and co-teaches a theatre class at La Petite Fanfare, a musical school in Chelsea.

That isn’t all Desmond has gotten himself into since he first moved to the Gatineau Hills last September: he will be starring in a production of Monty Python’s SPAMALOT as Dennis and the dashingly handsome Sir Galahad. Inspired by ‘Monty Python and the Holy Grail’, the satire pokes fun at King Arthur and his motley crew of knights.
