Regarding the photo on the front page accompanying the article, “Pirate Radio: tune into 99.9 FM all weekend long for Wakefest pirate radio station” (Aug. 14 edition): has the photographer taken his inspiration from the famous painting by the French artist, Theodore Gericault, entitled: “The Raft of the Medusa”?
On this raft are the survivors of a naval battle shipwreck, a tragedy in the history of French naval forces in the 19th century. Of course, everyone – and that includes me – wishes a totally different fate for the (pirate) radio station and Wakefest.
It will be great. Good luck.
