An MRC des Collines police officer has been charged with careless use of a firearm after she fired her gun in the direction of a fleeing vehicle in Gatineau this past spring.
Marie-Claude Fortin was trying to intercept a vehicle at 12:25 p.m. March 22 when the driver sped off. According to Gatineau Police, Fortin then fired a shot at the car as it sped off. Gatineau Police launched an investigation and charged her Sept. 20. Pick up this week’s Low Down to read more.
