No respect for inhumane animal officers in Wakefield, Quebec

The Editor,

After reading how the conservation officers (and I use this term loosely)  in Wakefield, Quebec left the deer to die in the forest of hypothermia I have to wonder now how many will be calling on these same people the next time a wounded or hurt animal is found. I, for one, will certainly be reluctant I must say! This was completely uncaring, inhumane and irresponsible.

To the two gentlemen in Wakefield who rescued the deer from the Gatineau river, you may not have credentials or experience in wildlife conservation, but it is comforting to know your types live in our community. You have my deepest respect.
