India Buxton Taylor would have enjoyed her party at Le Hibou.
The art and music lover would have taken in the mix of paintings and sculptures on display at the silent auction; maybe she would have sung along to the Hills singer-songwriters on stage.
But Buxton Taylor could not join her fundraising party Sept. 25.
That’s because the 16-year-old Alcove resident suffers from a rare, neurodegenerative disease that has slowly worsened over the past seven years. Thousands of seizures a day keep her confined to her bed and she can’t talk above a mumble – let alone sing.
Friends of the Buxton Taylor family organized a silent auction and concert at Le Hibou in the hopes of offering the family some comfort. The fundraiser raised a whopping $15,000, which will help the family care for their daughter. Click to continue
