Congratulations to all the Youth Welfare Association of Rupert (YWAR) executive for a fantastic winter carnival! Way to go, folks!

The Chinese dinner was delicious. Everything was great – the sleigh rides, tug-of-war, pie-eating, and cross-cut saw contest.

The hockey tournament really draws the crowds. I heard comments like “How many days do you hold this for?” and “For outdoor ice, this is awesome.”

The canteen food was great, too.

If you didn’t participate in an activity, it was just as much fun watching.

I know it takes weeks of planning for the winter and it’s very tiring, but looking around you on carnival day, and seeing the laughing, the smiling, the fun, the good times, it makes me very proud to be living in such a wonderful community.

Hats off to each and every one of you; you sure know how to organize a carnival! Thank you so much.

Hey, the Rupert carnival is so popular, people even get engaged at it!
