The Western Quebec School Board is making moves to fire an executive employee who’s under investigation for $33 million worth of contracts he signed over the past 10 years.

At their Oct. 29 public meeting, WQSB members voted to seek the dismissal of Colin O’Shea, the Director of Buildings and Transportation. It was not a unanimous vote.

“It’s to start the process,” said WQSB Director-General Paul Lamoureux, later adding that “we have to meet with Mr. O’Shea and we have to look at solutions.”
