Passed in Cherry Valley, California on July 31, 2021 in the home of her loving son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Billie Brown, who cared for her in her final years. She was surrounded by the love of multiple generations of Browns.
Joy was born in Wakefield, Quebec on October 29, 1928 to Addie McClinton and Archie Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Brown, and recently her son, Les. Survived by her brother Lindsay, son Ken, daughter Ginny, grandchildren (Andrew, Jason, Leah, Kevin, Kyle, Michael, Wesley, Nicholas, and Jacqueline), and great grandchildren (Emma, Mikayla, Riley, Madison, Bradley, and Jackson).
Joy and Gordon led an exciting life flying, sailing, and travelling the world. Joy
raised her family in Wakefield, Montreal, and Arnprior before eventually settling
in Southern California where Gordon established a successful clothing company
named after her called “California Joy”. She had a passion for painting,
travelling, cooking, golfing, and entertaining friends and family who often visited
her.
Joy will be missed greatly by everyone who knew her and we can find comfort
knowing her soul is in God's realm now. A celebration of life will be held at a
later date in Wakefield, Quebec.
