A 74-year-old Chelsea man is dead after he was hit by a vehicle as he was walking along Hwy 105 in Chelsea around 5:15 p.m. March 22.
According to MRC des Collines Police, the accident happened along Hwy 105 near the Ditchfield intersection.
Police had set up a detour between Hwy 5 and Scott Road exits for several hours as they investigated. Witnesses reported that the man was walking his dog when he was struck by a passing vehicle. His dog was also hit, but survived, according to witnesses.
