GERVAIS, Jean-Guy (John)

~ November 30, 1936 – November 18, 2021 ~

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Jean-Guy Gervais, who passed away peacefullysurrounded by his loving family, on November 18th, 2021 at La Maison Des Collines in Wakefield, Québec a few weeks shy of his 85th birthday.


He was the son of the late Emmanuel Gervais and the late Isabelle Renaud.


He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of the last 62 years, Carol Coyne, his children Julie (Daniel Fournier) and Glenn (Suzanne Marsolais), his grandchildren, Vanessa (Kevyn) and Claudie Fournier, Mikaël and Noémie (Zachary) Gervais-Marsolais, as well as being the funny and loving Great - “Gampa” to Alyah and Alexy who he was able to play and sing with until his very last moments.


Retired from Hydro-Québec, he was actively involved in the Farm Point

community and well known as the village step dancer in his good years.

He is survived by his brothers Rhéal (Huguette), Raoul (Denise), Denis (Claire),

Gilles (Diane), Jacques (Éveline), Claude (Gabrielle) and his special brother

Father Paul Bergeron, as well as his sisters-in-law Judy (Art), Rosemary (late

Wayne).


He was predeceased by his brother Yvan (the late Georgette Jolicoeur), his

sisters Colette (the late Marcel Jolicoeur), Georgette (the late Jean-Louis LeBel),

Jeannine, Denise (Jean-Guy Lafrance), his in-laws, Clifford and Jean Catherine

Coyne as well as his brother-in-law Bernard Coyne (the late Margaret Dufour).

He leaves beautiful memories to his many nieces and nephews, cousins and

friends who had the opportunity to party with him, especially his friends from

Domaine G.R.F. and the Snoros of Témis.


A special thank you to all the staff at La Maison Des Collines who knew how to

spoil him, pamper him and comfort us until his very last breath.


You are an EXTRAORDINARY team!


In order to comply with government regulations on COVID-19, only people

personally invited by the family may be present at the funeral. The vaccination

passport will be required to attend.
