Obituary Notice
MOORE, Eileen
~ February 2, 1949 - October 14, 2023 ~

Born February 2, 1949 to Edith Catherine Halley and John Milton Reilly, Eileen, her older sister Lynn and cousin Tommy were raised on the family farm in beautiful Rupert among a close-knit community of family and friends. Though she traveled around the world as a young adult, Rupert was where she and Ian settled to raise their family. Indeed, Rupert and the people in it remained a focus of Eileen’s life. She volunteered for more than 40 years on the Rupert Union Cemetery Board, and with the Rupert United Church (now Grace United Church) as a Sunday School teacher, on various committees, and as a member of council. At every event - whether the old or new Rupert Hall - Eileen was ready to lend a hand.
Eileen passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023. She is survived by her husband, Ian, her daughters Rhonda (Alan), Tracy (Nick) and Paula (Levi), and her three granddaughters Clare, Nora, and Mae. Eileen was well loved by her nephew Charles (Colleen), nieces Carol-Ann (Marc-Andre) and Katherine (Jeff), and great-nieces and great-nephews Dominick, Sabine, Liam, and Maeve. The family extends their thanks to the CLSC and Wakefield Memorial Hospital for their attentive care of Eileen in her final days. Events to celebrate Eileen’s life will be held on Sunday October 22 at Rupert
United Church (646 chemin des Érables), visitation begins at n1pm, funeral service at 2pm, and burial to follow at Rupert Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a reception at Rupert Hall (24 chemin Shouldice) following the burial.
