~ OBITUARY: April 1st, 2021 ~
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Ron on April 1st, 2021. Ron is survived by his loving wife and friend Elaine, his sons Timothy (Rina), Andrew (Mary Jane), granddaughter Shennara (Matt), grandsons Philippe (Olivia) and Michael, step-daughters Brenda (Shawn) and Julie (Heather), step-grandsons Nicholas (Miranda) and Liam. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Elsie (Mahon), siblings Elmer (Ruby), Gladys (Roy), Muriel (Nelson), and Lorne (Shirley).
Ron started his career at the Ottawa Journal, retiring from the Ottawa Citizen after 32 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, socializing, and telling jokes. Many good times were had with friends aprés skiing at Vorlage Ski Area and get togethers during the summer. Ron and Elaine enjoyed travelling, visiting many countries.
