APPOINTMENT BOOKING IS NOW OPEN FOR PEOPLE OF 70 YEARS AND OLDER IN THE OUTAOUAIS REGION

Gatineau, March 10, 2021 – The Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l'Outaouais would like to inform the population that the vaccination is going well and that it is now the turn of the 70 years and older age group ( born in 1951 and before) to make an appointment starting today to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
We invite you to visit the website Québec.ca/vaccinCOVID, which is the easiest and quickest way to make an appointment and to follow the evolution of the vaccination campaign by region. For those who do not have access to the Internet or have difficulty using it, it is possible to call 1 877 644-4545 for support. Family caregivers are invited to offer support to seniors with the online appointment booking process and at the time of the vaccination.
A caregiver could be vaccinated on the same day as the person in the priority group if he or she meets the following criteria:
- Be 70 years and older;
- The person is present 3 days a week or more to support their loved one.
Only one caregiver can be vaccinated per person in the priority group. Don't forget to register your caregiver after your appointment is made. We assure you that, regardless of the time selected for your caregiver's appointment, he or she will be able to get vaccinated at the same time as you.
Please remember that people who are not part of the priority group being vaccinated should avoid calling, visiting the website and coming to the vaccination site to be vaccinated.
