It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Alva Courtney (nee Molyneaux), who passed away peacefully on April 2nd, at the age of 91.
Loving mother of Mary Lynn (Charles Lauzier) and Coleen (Michael Lachapelle). Cherished Nana to Shaun, Brad and Ryan (Ariane).
Survived by her dear brother Ray Molyneaux (Lois) and predeceased by her husband, Emerson Courtney, and son Blair, her parents Albert Molyneaux and Oscelia Gabie, her brothers Edwin, Ellard and Alvin Molyneaux and her sisters Lorraine Lemay and Olive Lacharity.
She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
The Ottawa Senators have lost one of their greatest fans.
The family will be accepting condolences on Saturday, April 22nd at 13:00hrs at McGarry Memorial Chapel and Cremation Services in Wakefield, Quebec followed by a service in the Chapel at 14:00hrs. A private burial will take place at a later date.
