The Sûreté du Québec is requesting the public’s help to find Hugues Galipeau, a 70-year old man from Maniwaki, who was last seen Oct. 28, at 1:30pm in Messines.


According to a press release from the SQ on Nov. 1, Galipeau is known to travel on foot and could be in the area of ​​the Kitigan Zibi Native Reserve, near Eagle River, and that his family have reason to fear for his health and safety.


Galipeau is described as being 5”9’, 132lbs, with blond hair and brown eyes. Galipeau was last seen wearing a mid-thigh white and beige coat and a furry hat.


Anyone who sees Galipeau is asked to call 911, and any information that could lead to his whereabouts can be reported confidentially to the SQ’s criminal information centre at 1-800-659-4264
